Family and Youth Ministries

Associate Pastor Jay Forester was born and raised in West Palm Beach, Florida, and comes from a line of Southern gospel ministers. He graduated from Belhaven College in 2002, earning a B.A. in Biblical Studies; he received an Masters of Divinity in 2006 from Reformed Theological Seminary (RTS) in Jackson, Mississippi.

From 2004-2009, he served part-time on staff of The First Presbyterian Church of Madison, working with the middle school and high school students. Upon graduating from RTS, he taught seventh grade and fourth grade at a local Christian school nearby Jackson, and was among the recipients receiving the honor of Wal-Mart Teacher of the Year (2007-2008). In October of 2009, Jay was ordained in the Presbyterian Church in America (PCA).

In 2011, Jay joined the ministry staff at Seacrest Presbyterian Church as the Minister of Families and Youth Ministries. In addition to working with the children, youth, and families of Seacrest church, Jay serves as the Associate Pastor.

Jay and his wife Anna became parents in April of 2010 with the arrival of their first daughter. Since 2010 Jay and Anna have increased their size of their family to five children.

Children’s Sunday School

We offer Sunday School at 9:00 for ages 2 – 3rd grade. We also offer Children’s Church during the 10:30 worship service for ages 2 – Kindergarten. Children can stay with their parents for the singing and leave before the message. Our children are using Great Commission Publications’ “Show Me Jesus” curriculum. Both Sunday School and Children’s Church meet in the Middle School building.
